I started my teaching career as a supply teacher at Mount Gilbert School in 2011 teaching maths.  I returned in September 2013 as Head of PE having gained further experience in teaching young people with special educational needs.  Since June 2015, I have been performing the role of Acting Assistant Headteacher and have enjoyed the challenge to date.

I am a keen sportsman and play football for Church Stretton Town in the Mercian Premier Football League.  Football is a passion of mine and I am a supporter of Shrewsbury Town FC (albeit these days from the sofa)!  In September 2015, I completed my first triathlon – I’m still recovering now!

My goal at Mount Gilbert is to help pupils achieve the very best outcomes, regardless of their history in education.  Above all, I believe it vital that as a community, all staff at Mount Gilbert help pupils in becoming happy and confident young adults who leave us ready to successfully tackle the next stages in education and life.
