Skills centre overview 2016 – 2017:

Staff:

Peter Miles – Design & Technology and Vocational learning lead peter.miles1@taw.org.uk

Key Stage 3:

The skills centre is currently split into two areas. Key stage 3 participate in Design and Technology national curriculum.  They do 3 projects per year ranging from making board games to furniture making.  Resistant materials is the main focus, but there are some graphic units on offer too to enable pupils to experience the whole range of the subject.  This year we are concentrating on the design process from conceptual ideas to the final product as a whole.

Pupils love the practical aspect of the subject.
