What is Mount Gilbert School?
Mount Gilbert School is a maintained school providing specialist education for pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4 (11-16) all of whom have a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education, Health and Care Plan. Students’ primary needs are identified as social, emotional or mental health issues, with additional complex needs such as Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). There are currently spaces for 48 students on roll. Students attending the school come from a wide catchment area around the whole of Telford and Wrekin and are transported from home to school on either the school’s own minibus or private taxis. The school also has out of county placements. For information around our admissions procedures please see the parent information page of the website.
Recently, the automotive company Greenhous were kind enough to auction a signed England football shirt and raised £320 for the school- we are very grateful for their kind donation!
